Basically a photo is reliable but not objective. I am convinced that a photograph is always subjective, and therefore, in many cases during the process there are unique personal choices. The ability of the camera to observe reality, to present everything as a photographed truth, challenges me to examine and present a different fact in front of the viewer’s eyes, deceptive in its accuracy.
Being a photographer challenges me to think, explore and integrate imagination with reality and eventually to create a new visual experience. As a photograph is a two-dimensional object, the three dimensional feeling is solely the viewer’s commentary.
For me, photography is a way of expression and life. Making pictures sets me in a quiet dimension, far away from the noisy, daily reality. I enjoy creating the composition of an image, the silence just before the pressing and the never-ending search for light.
בבסיסו צילום אמין אך לא אובייקטיבי. אני משוכנע כי צילום תמיד סובייקטיבי, כך שבמקרים רבים בתהליך, ישנה מניפולציה. היכולת של המצלמה לבחון את המציאות, להציג הכול כאמת מצולמת מאתגרת אותי לבחון אותה ולהציב מול הצופה אמת קצת אחרת, מתעתעת בדיוקה.
העיסוק בצילום ממלא אותי ודורש ממני לחשוב, לחקור, לחלום ולשלב דמיון עם מציאות כבר בשלב התצפית ובסופו של דבר ליצור חוויה ויזואלית חדשה כשתחושת התלת מימד היא פרי דמיון מוחלט לפרשנותו של הצופה.
צילום עבורי הוא דרך ביטוי ודרך חיים. הצילום מכניס בי מימד של שקט, מימד כה רחוק מהמציאות היומיומית. אני נהנה מאוד מהריכוז שבבניית קומפוזיציה, מהשקט שלפני הלחיצה ומהחיפוש הבלתי פוסק אחר אור.
